Mrs. Orrs Chocolate Cake
This flavorful cake is chunkier than a standard cake while still maintaining a fluffy fullness that puts it firmly in the cake category. We love it with chocolate frosting to double down on what makes it great.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Sugar
- 0.75 cups Butter
- 1.5 cups Water, boiling
- 2 cups Flour
- 0.5 cups Cocoa
- 0.5 tsps Salt
- 2 tsps Baking soda
- 2 whole Eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the boiling water and mix.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and mix.
- Pour into a 9x13 inch pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350 for 35 minutes.
- Let cool then add any desired frosting.
